Our Licenses
& Accreditations
At Lumina Recovery, we understand the critical importance of choosing the right rehabilitation center for yourself or your loved one. The journey to recovery is deeply personal, and finding a facility that offers not only the highest standards of care but also a compassionate and supportive environment is essential.
That’s why we proudly uphold the highest levels of accreditation and licensure in the addiction and mental health treatment fields.
Our inpatient and outpatient rehab centers are recognized by leading health care accreditation organizations and adhere to the rigorous standards set forth by state and federal regulatory bodies.
This commitment to excellence ensures that our clients receive the most effective, evidence-based treatment, tailored to their individual needs in a safe and professional setting.
Department of Health Care Services (DHCS)
The Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) oversees a wide array of health care services in California, including mental health and substance use disorder services. A DHCS license indicates that a facility meets California’s standards for providing health care, including substance abuse treatment services.
This license is essential for facilities that offer drug and alcohol rehabilitation services, ensuring they comply with state regulations and provide safe, effective treatment.
The Joint Commission
The Joint Commission is an independent, not-for-profit organization that accredits and certifies more than 22,000 health care organizations and programs in the United States. Accreditation from The Joint Commission is recognized across the country for quality and reflects an organization’s commitment to meeting specific performance standards.
For rehab centers, this accreditation assures patients and their families of the facility’s commitment to providing safe, high-quality care.
California Consortium of Addiction Programs and Professionals (CCAPP)
The CCAPP is the largest statewide consortium of community-based substance use disorder treatment agencies and addiction-focused professionals, providing leadership, advocacy, and quality assurance in the field.
Accreditation by CCAPP signifies that a facility meets the highest standards in addiction treatment, adhering to best practices and providing a high level of care to those struggling with addiction.
Medical Board of California
The Medical Board of California licenses medical doctors and enforces medical practice laws. For a rehab center, having physicians accredited by the Medical Board of California ensures that medical treatments, including detoxification and medication-assisted treatment, are overseen by qualified professionals.
This accreditation is crucial for facilities that offer medical interventions as part of their addiction treatment services.
Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA)
SAMHSA is an agency within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services that leads public health efforts to advance the behavioral health of the nation. SAMHSA’s certification and accreditation processes ensure that services and providers meet federal standards for quality and safety in substance abuse and mental health care.
Being recognized by SAMHSA is a mark of excellence and a reassurance to clients that the facility provides evidence-based, effective treatment for substance use and mental health disorders.
Florida Department of Children and Families
The Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) is a state agency dedicated to protecting children and vulnerable adults while strengthening families across Florida.
Through a wide range of programs and services, DCF provides support for child welfare, foster care and adoption, mental health and substance use treatment, economic assistance, and abuse prevention. Its mission is to help Florida residents achieve safety, stability, and well-being.
Florida Association of Recovery Residences
The Florida Association of Recovery Residences (FARR) is a nonprofit organization that sets quality standards and certifies recovery residences throughout Florida.
As the state affiliate of the National Alliance for Recovery Residences (NARR), FARR promotes safe, ethical, and supportive housing for individuals in recovery through certification, education, advocacy, and oversight, helping ensure recovery residences meet nationally recognized best practices.
